Sketch
Sketching is a way of visually expressing an idea or concept.
It's basically a first draft.
The word 'sketch' is used in different contexts.
In art, a sketch is a basis for a piece of art work.
A sketch doesn’t need to be very specific for the artist, it is more a basis for inspiration and further development.
In architecture the sketch serves as a memory aid. However, it does not have to be precise, but sufficient to provide a rough outline for an idea.
An architect often finds coloured pencils and felt-tip pens are best suited to their needs.
The same theory applies for a designer, graphic artist and anybody who works creatively.
A sketch forms the basis of every work.
